Silton Swim School
Est. 1960
Our Story
“Silton Swim School is now 61 years young. The original founder of the school was a Springfield College classmate of mine. Upon his untimely passing in the seventies, I was able to purchase the school in 1977 and keep it as a premier facility for children of all ages to learn how to swim. My wife of 60 years, Nancy, and my granddaughter Danielle, now operate Silton Swim School.”
~Robert A. Leete Jr., Late Owner
Robert A. Leete Jr. passed away on Thursday, December 10th, 2020. He leaves behind a legacy of teaching hundreds of thousands of children how to swim and be safe in the water over the past 6 decades. He will live on forever in our hearts!
Did you know??... The name "SILTON" was created by the original owner, a Springfield College class mate of Robert A. Leete Jr., from two Springfield College professors; Professor Silvia and Professor Bratton, therefore creating the name "Silton."
