Novice Meets
This event is intended for students enrolled for group lessons.
There are five (5) novice meets at Silton Swim School each summer. Novice meets take place every other Wednesday during our ten week season. Novice meets are designed to introduce and promote interest in competitive swimming. All students enrolled, ages 5-13, are encouraged to participate however, participation is not mandatory. At the conclusion of each age group events and heats, students are awarded a ribbon. Many of the events will be modified to accommodate the beginning skills of new swimmers.
Parents will be invited to stay at drop off and watch their child compete. 3 & 4 year old students do not participate in our novice meets. Parents will receive a notice mid week regarding their child's scheduled novice meet. The dates below may change due to inclement weather. We will try and give as much notice as possible if we plan to reschedule a novice meet. Parents will be notified of any changes via email, social media, and our website.
